Space Engineers Server Old Thread

    Server is right now in creative testing building a station for the launch. Please don't join in to screw things up. Please talk to Togy First on Steam or TS.

    We have decided that we are going to be opening up a 24/7 Dedicated Space Engineers Server till Planets come out. At that time we are going to continue without a wiping and having fun. This is going to be a VIP Only server because Space Engineers just does not play right with many users and we also want to enable things like in game scripting.

    Server Rules:
    • No Griefing The Server
    • No Lagging The Server
    • Max 4 Small Drills (Big Drills Disabled)
    • Please keep all unused ships docked to a station when not in use.
    • No using Medical Rooms to Teleport Around.
    The reasons for our tough rules is mainly because of the Netcode. In Space Engineers any action one player does everyone else feels the effects and this is heavily in mining or having tons of ships floating around space etc.

    I really wanted to remove Medical Bays from the game besides at spawn. But sadly it looks like Keen does not let you create things like just a healing station or just a oxygen fill station. You have it all or none sadly. Not sure if there is anyway around this but so far I have not found a way.

    The starting station is looking good. We are not 100% sure if will launch this Thursday/Friday. It depends on a few things the biggest being oxygen.

    It's up and running, but I think it's a VIP server and you may not have access. It's up to @Kane Hart

    It's up and running already. Would you like access to it? Do I have your steam info? I need to add you to a group.

    Big warning though:
    • It's very very buggy.
    • It's very very unstable
    • There might be a forced wipe with planets release (Might happen This Thursday)
    • The netcode is crappy
    It's fun to talk to others though.

    I was just curious as you had not updated the post saying if it was ready or not. I was curious about what your plans were for it. There just doesn't seem to be a good set of posts about it. I'm not really interested in playing multi-player until they improve the netcode a bit.

    Yeah waiting on this netcode is insulting by the devs. It should of came first before Planets tbh. IDK if I can keep going my biggest bug that is ruining my play on MP and only happens on MP is this bug:
